The crew of the Cumberland and their gallant ship fought ferociously, killed two of the Virginia's crew and broke off the muzzles of two of their slayer's Brooke's Rifles. She did not die easily.  You drew the final moment well, except that Cumberland had already taken serious damage from the ironclad's guns when the ram hit--and she fought 'til her guns were awash.
